Meggan Fletcher

M.S. Child and Family Studies, Certified Innate Postpartum Care Practitioner

Meggan Fletcher brings together graduate training in child and family studies, years of experience in education, training in postpartum care, lived experience mothering her own 5 children, and a personal understanding of how disorienting postpartum can become.

Meggan has long held a passion for supporting women during the postpartum time. When she ended up navigating her own high-risk twin pregnancy, postpartum anxiety, depression, family strain, and a long season of grief and healing, she developed a much deeper desire to understanding of what mothers and families are often carrying after birth. This healing lead her to trainning with INNATE Postpartum Care. Her approach is informed by a wholistic, physiologic postpartum care framework centered on mothers need to experience community, extended rest, warmth, nourishment, and bodywork during the postpartum time. This time-tested wisdom is interwoven with modern science, to support women’s long-term health and vitality.

John bio here

-It is currently common for at least 50% of new mothers to take medication for postnatal mood disorders.

Do you ever wonder if it’s always been like this?

-majority of women in their 40’s, 50’s, etc. report various pelvic floor issues such as incontinence, painful intercourse, prolapse, etc.

Why is this seen as normal?

These issues are common, but they are not normal! They are symptoms of a bigger issue, rooted in the way mothers are cared for during the time following the birth of a baby.
